Quiet Steps Beyond Shadows

In the hushed twilight, boundaries I push with care,
Where heart and eyes in doubt, ensnared in their snare.
Treading softly on a path, both dim and gray,
In a world where shadows dance, then quietly fray.
I strive for freedom, from the chains that bind,
Yet heart and eyes conflict, in a war of mind.
The sweet, searing pain of letting go,
A challenge in life's ceaseless flow.
Time and chance have carved their way,
Leaving scars that quietly lay.
To rekindle love, ponder the cost,
Or accept what's gone, forever lost?
Amid these thoughts, I stand prepared,
To walk a path uniquely bared.
Each step forward, a silent decree,
Following the heart's quiet plea.
The journey's long, through unseen bends,
Where heart and sight struggle to mend.
Yet in each stride, a hope is born,
In the quiet dawn of a new morn.
A decision made, in solitude's embrace,
To leave the past, its sweet, bitter trace.
With each footfall, a chapter ends,
As I move beyond what fate intends.
In the quiet walk, strength I find,
Leaving old shadows far behind.
Forward I move, with resolve in my heart,
Embracing the journey, as I depart.
