Silence Unraveling

In the stillness of our shared space,
Where echoes of laughter once danced,
Now lingers a haunting, hollow grace,
Where absence plants its silent stance.
Once, our words like rivers flowed,
But now, in silence, they suffocate,
Unspoken thoughts, feelings stowed,
In the void, they resonate.
Distance, an invisible, stretching thread,
Pulls at the seams of our bond,
Leaving unsaid what should be said,
In the quiet, our connection absconds.
The void, a chasm deep and wide,
Swallows the warmth we used to know,
In its depths, our love did hide,
Leaving coldness in its undertow.
Slowly, like petals from a withered rose,
Our unity begins to decay and depart,
What once was, no one knows,
For absence has torn it apart.
Beyond words, beyond repair,
Our story silently closes its chapter,
In the absence, nothing is there,
But the echoes of a love hereafter.
