Veiled Beliefs: The Unseen Divide

In the same house of worship, beneath one creed,

We gather, divergent in thought and need.

Our shared religion harbors varied seeds,

In this common ground, our beliefs diverge indeed.

Your prayers soar like eagles, bold and proud,

While mine, like timid sparrows, shroud in doubt.

From the same scripture, our different doctrines sprout,

In shared light, distinct shadows cast about.

The world perceives us in stark contrast,

Uniform in faith, a monochrome cast.

Yet beneath, a kaleidoscope of beliefs amassed,

Hidden under guises, our true selves masked.

Publicly, you don the garb of certainty,

A guise, a facade of unwavering piety,

But alone, your soul whispers of fragility,

Clouded by questions, a hidden duality.

Our diverging beliefs, like silent streams,

Flow unseen in the realm of shared dreams.

Under one religious roof, fragmented beams,

We are divided, not by faith, but by what it seems.

In this dance of concealed doubts and fears,

We mask our true selves, as maturity appears.

In our unity, a mosaic of unseen tears,

Split, not by doctrine, but by unspoken years.
